Look Fantastic is one of the most popular online retailers on InternationalOnlineShopping.org and one of their best selling items is their monthly beauty box full of cosmetic goodies. Since their beauty box launched in September last year they have been a big hit and have continued to sell out monthly. Costing only £15 with a value of usually several times this amount and free delivery anywhere in the world it’s no wonder that they’ve been snatched up quickly. Their beauty box contains a hand-picked selection of must have beauty fixes from a variety of brands across skincare, haircare, cosmetics and body care. which come wrapped in a beautifully presented box, great as a present or treat for yourself!
The Look Fantastic March 2015 beauty box contains 6 items valued at a total of £71.48 and this month 30 random boxes will also contain a ghd Gold Series Styler worth £125! Opening my box I was excited to find a lip balm by Cowshed, one of my favourite brands, as well as brands that I’ve heard of before and have been wanting to try. It has a good selection of different products from well known and premium brands that I think will appeal to every kind of beauty lover out there.
Contents of the Look Fantastic March 2015 Beauty Box:
Cowshed Lippy Cow Natural Lip Balm 5ml – Worth £5
Probably my favourite product in the box, the Cowshed Lippy Cow lip balm is one that I’ve been using for years ever since I discovered it on a Virgin Atlantic flight and this travel size version is great for carrying around in my handbag! Cowshed use only natural ingredients together with the highest quality essential oils with this lip balm containing linden blossom to protect and nourish, rose geranium to help rejuvenate and ylang ylang to stimulate circulation. It has a light, glossy texture keeping your lips soft and supple for hours!
Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Defense Serum – Worth £11.66
(This item won’t be found in all beauty boxes this month as you may receive an alternative product from Nuxe)
Caudalie is a luxury skincare brand from France that only uses natural ingredients and is a brand that I have been wanting to try for a while. This serum contains grape-seed polyphenols and vitamin C and is supposed to protect the skin from environmental factors whilst preventing the development of wrinkles and is to be applied daily in the morning and evening. I’ve been using this serum for the past few days and it absorbs fairly easily when applied but it leaves your face feeling quite sticky so I’ve been using it at night rather than twice a day.
Lord & Berry Line/Shade Kajal Eye Pencil (Black) – Worth £10
Black eyeliner is something you’ed probably find in most girls’ makeup bags and since I use it daily I was happy to have an extra one. Trying it out, it glided on smoothly and the kohl is really soft, softer than what I would normally use, but it’s very easy to smudge in so it can be used on it’s own for a natural, sexy look or together with eyeshadow.
Wet Brush Lil Wet Brush – Worth £7.99
I’d heard a lot about this hair brush as it claims to be the most amazing detangling brush you’ll ever use and can be used after a shower on wet hair or on dry hair. It’s IntelliFlex bristles promises to give snag-free brushing with no tears, clumps or tangles and it’s SofTips on the ends of the bristles aid in the prevention of hair loss and gently massage your scalp to stimulate circulation. It can even be used on extensions and wigs! The Lil Wet Brush is a mini version of the classic Wet Brush and is small and light enough to carry around in your handbag or use it at the gym as I do. It really does a great job in detangling my hair after washing it especially since I’m prone to split ends and it’s now my new favourite accessory!
Nudestix Magnetic Eye Colour (Gilt) – Worth £24
This eye shadow comes in a pencil form so it’s really easy to carry around and apply on the go. I received this eye colour in the shade “Gilt” which is quite a neutral shade with a gold tinge, perfect for a fresh faced, nude look. I don’t normally use this shade of eyeshadow but it’s pretty good as a highlighter too and it’s easy to blend and stays put all day, not to mention it being waterproof! I probably wouldn’t pay the full price tag for it though as there are other eyeshadows out there that are just as good for less.
Bliss FatGirlSlim 60ml – Worth £10.40
Bliss is a brand that has been around for a while now and one that I’ve used before but have never tried any of their body care products. FatGirlSlim is supposed to make skin look and feel firmer and more toned as well as help get rid of cellulite. It contains QuSome-encapsulated caffeine molecules for quick delivery of skin firming. QuSomes help deliver active ingredients into the skin more effectively so caffeine can energise the skin, boosting circulation and stimulating lymphatic drainage to improve body contour. It should be applied twice a day and massaged in for around 20-30 seconds to stimulate circulation. I found it to have quite a clinical smell and the texture is like a very watery gel, not oily and absorbs really quickly. According to a study carried out over 28 days, 87% of participants saw a firming effect, 85% felt a slimming effect and 73% noticed a reduction in the appearance of cellulite so I hope to see the same results!
