’99 billion man’ who couldn’t save one director + two acting directors, ‘technician’ Postecoglou true mission
Enze Postecoglou has had a soft landing in the English Premier League (EPL) so far this season.
He is unbeaten in his debut season in the EPL, having handled the challenges posed by Harry Kane’s departure to German giants Bayern Munich this summer. With three wins and a draw in four games (10 points), they sit in second place behind first-place Man City (12 points) and ahead of Liverpool, West Ham, and Arsenal on goal difference.
But Postecoglou has a real mission to accomplish. It is to revive Brazilian striker Philippe Coutinho (26-Tottenham).소닉카지노
He was in the midst of his worst period. He was one of the top strikers in the EPL. After showing promise at Fluminense in Brazil, he joined Watford in 2017. He excelled and switched to Everton after just one season. His potential exploded at Everton. For four seasons, he was Everton’s ace. After exploding for 13 goals in the 2017-2018 season, he followed it up with another 13 the following season. He slowed down a bit in 2020-2021 with seven goals, but was on fire again in 2021-2022, scoring 10 goals.
He was on Tottenham’s radar. After qualifying for the European Champions League in 2022-2023, Tottenham embarked on a major recruitment drive. Tottenham were looking for a replacement for Kane in the front line. Tottenham paid a club-record £60 million ($99.1 million) for the Frenchman at the time. Spurs fans welcomed the addition of a top-class striker with open arms. He was expected to join the likes of Kane and Son Heung-min in a top-notch attacking lineup.
However, when the lid was lifted, he didn’t live up to expectations. He scored just one goal in the league. In 27 appearances, he scored just one goal. Including the Champions League, he scored just three goals. A combination of injuries and poor performances were to blame.

In fact, many managers and acting managers failed to save him last season. Under Antonio Conte, he was a shadow of Kane. When Conte was sacked and Sturridge took over at Tottenham, he emerged as the main striker. Sturridge favored him over Son over Heung-min Son, but Ryan Mason, the second manager appointed after Sturridge was sacked after four games, also planned to use him. Instead of Dejan Kulusebski in a three-man defense, he put him on the left. Naturally, Son Heung-min played on the right. “I thought it would be better if he was more comfortable on the left. I saw that he was free to score goals with his left foot, right foot, inside the penalty box, outside the penalty box. I thought this would be a better way to utilize him and Heung-min.” And just like that, he seemed to come alive. On May 1, he scored his long-awaited debut goal against Liverpool. It was a flicker. He hasn’t scored in the league in four months.

He started against Bolivia on Sept. 9 (KST), but failed to score a goal and was replaced in the 26th minute by Hwang Hee-chan’s teammate Matheus Cunha (Wolverhampton). However, shortly after the substitution, he was seen breaking down in tears on the bench. “It wasn’t about my performance, it was about what was happening off the field,” he said, “It wasn’t about me, it was about people close to me. I couldn’t control it.”
In an interview with Brazil’s Globo on Nov. 14 (ET), Hysalisong admitted that he went through a period of upheaval off the field for the past five months. “Now everything is back to normal. “The people who only wanted my money are gone,” he said, adding, “Now things (around me) will be good again, and I will rise to the occasion with another good performance at Tottenham.
